Haverhill Financial Research · News · October 11, 2026
Today we are launching the Haverhill Hundred: a ranked list of the 100 companies we rate most highly right now. It is not a model portfolio and it is not a list of hot tips. It is where our research lands, one rank at a time, with a short explanation for every name.
How a stock earns a place
Three tests. A business with a durable advantage, a balance sheet that can carry it through a downturn, and a share price that looks low for its quality.
One rank each. Every stock holds a rank from 1 to 100 that moves as our conviction changes. A new name only joins when it beats one already on the list, so every addition means a removal.
An honest rating. Buy means we see meaningful upside from today's price. Hold means a business we rate highly at a price that already reflects much of it. A stock we would rate Sell does not belong on the list.
The first edition has 62 Buys and 38 Holds. Some of the best businesses we know sit near the top as Holds, because a great company and a great price are not the same thing.
The top 10
Rank | Stock | Rating | Why it is on the list |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | GOOGL Alphabet | Buy | Search, YouTube and Google Cloud fund one of the strongest AI positions in the market, and the shares still look cheap for that quality. |
2 | MSFT Microsoft | Hold | Recurring revenue few companies can match, but the price already assumes its heavy AI spending pays off. |
3 | META Meta Platforms | Buy | Two of the largest ad platforms in the world, with AI making their ads more effective. |
4 | AVGO Broadcom | Buy | The main supplier of custom AI chips to the largest tech companies. Full report: $430 price target. |
5 | ZTS Zoetis | Buy | The global leader in animal medicines; the shares have fallen further than the business. |
6 | BR Broadridge Financial | Buy | Proxy voting and trade processing for much of Wall Street, on contracts customers rarely leave. |
7 | FICO Fair Isaac | Buy | The standard score for US lending; competition worries have pulled the price below what the franchise earns. |
8 | TXN Texas Instruments | Buy | A low-cost analog chipmaker whose free cash flow should rise as its factory build-out winds down. |
9 | TSCO Tractor Supply | Hold | A steady rural retailer whose shares already price in years of store growth. |
10 | ZBH Zimmer Biomet | Buy | A leader in hip and knee replacements, with aging populations supporting demand for years. |
What is free, and what is in Amber
Free for everyone: ranks 1 to 30, with a rating and a note on each.
For Amber members: ranks 31 to 100, plus a write-up every time a name joins, leaves, or moves up or down the list. Amber is $15 a month or $150 a year.
What happens next
The list will change as our views do. Every addition, removal and move will be logged on the list itself with the reason behind it, and the bigger changes will get their own news post. Broadcom (#4) already has a full research report with a 12-month price target, and more names on the list will get the same treatment.
